York Place Apartment
I was in Edinburgh with 3 friends and we loved staying at Mel ‘s!!! Her place was perfect. Location was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere. She met us at the apartment and spent a good hour talking to us and helping us pick the best things to do and told us what pubs to go to. She was fantastic. I would highly recommend this flat if you are in Scotland. It is spacious, modern, and very nicely decorated. Thank you Mel for a great place to stay.

Perfect Apartment! Just home from Edinburgh this weekend and our stay in this apartment was wonderful. Every room was spotless and it was so cosy and comfortable, none of us wanted to leave! Mel was a wonderful and knowledgeable host and went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable. The apartment is lovely, very well decorated and kitchen – well equipped. Location is very central as advertized. Tram station is a quick 5 mins walk. I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Edinburgh.

Excellent, comfortable and good location to stay with Family. Was a great place to stay – thoroughly recommend. We all enjoyed staying here (4 adult & 3 children) and appreciated the welcome. Everything in the flat was of an excellent standard and made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. For a family with children there is plenty of space including use of Wi Fi and parking facility. The city centre was a short walk away with all shops nearby. Surely like to visit again.

Dundonald Street Apartment
We were ever so pleased with Mel’s apartment. We had a quick two-night stay in Edinburgh and wished it was much longer. The apartment is just as described. It is a short walk into the main town and the Royal Mile, but yet far enough away to enjoy a quiet evening, in a neighborhood that is mainly residential. Mel provided us with great tips before we arrived, as well as when she met us at the apartment. There are a number of great restaurants and shops in walking distance. Mel’s apartment was cozy, bright and cheery, despite the rainy Edinburgh weather, and was the perfect location for our stay. We will definitely book again!Thanks Mel! Everything was great! Sorry for the delay in writing. I came back to the States with a busy work load. Have a great rest of the summer!

Dundonald Street Apartment (continues)
Great Neighborhood, great place. We stayed here for 2 weeks. Fully appointed kitchen, fast internet. Walking distance to a super Tesco for groceries, plus several interesting non-touristy areas – Stockton, Bellevue, Dean Village. Prince’s Street, Scott Monument and Rose St. are less than 10 minutes away (uphill), and after seeing them in person we were glad to not be staying in a property any closer to them. So many tourists! There is an entrance to the Water of Leith walk about 100 meters from your front door, which provides a full day of car-free urban walking. Definitely recommended.

Cosy apartment in nice location. The apartment is positioned in a nice quiet location within walking distance of most Edinburgh attractions. Good value for money and easy to book with perfect & fast communication with the owner! Even though it is on the ground floor the small “terrace” in front of the door is really nice.

The Auld Pottery
We really enjoyed the auld pottery. The space was as described and more. New heating was toasty in the chill autumn weather(we are antipodeans after all). Proximity to everything was fab. Our time in Edinburgh was all too brief but memorable. The auld pottery is in such a handy location for walking in and out of the city or for access to public transport. This adorable apartment is conveniently located near Haymarket station and is the perfect size for one or two people. It is handsomely decorated and close to many amentites. I recommend breakfast at the nearby cafe Milk. Mel was super helpful and responded quickly to any concerns that arose.

We had a lovely stay at the auld pottery. conveniently located within a 10-15 minute walk to the grassmarket, the flat is very charming. it was definitely a huge plus having a washing machine on the premises. Mel went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, and gave us a lot of recommendations to make our visit to Edinburgh and the fringe festival a memorable trip. thank you, Mel! What a cozy and charming home! Tons of character. Great location — perfectly walkable to major Edinburgh sites. It’s definitely an old house with a long history so you have to be very delicate and mindful. But that’s the charm of old homes, right? There are several great restaurants in the hood. My favorite lunch spot was MILK — a must try! I went back several times. Mel was very responsive to all questions and concerns.
